St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church has started a new parents group called Parents Encouraging Parents (PEP).

The focus of the group is to provide a place for parents of young children to come and socialize and share while the children socialize with peers their own age.

The group meets once per month on the second Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. The program is free and all are welcome to attend.

In November, the children made Christmas cards for local nursing home residents and shut-ins as their group activity.

The church is located at 648 N. LaFontaine St., Huntington.
