10th annual German Christmas program at old German School is Sunday

The 10th annual German Christmas program will be held at the Old German School on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m.

The program will include singing of traditional Christmas carols, and the reading of the Christmas story from the gospel of St. Luke in both English and German. German Christmas customs will also be described and a wild cedar tree with German decorations will be featured.

Rev. Conrad Thompson will give a message and the evening will conclude with candlelight and singing of “Stille Nacht” by a sixth generation descendant of the Schenkel family.

The German School is located at 3995N-1000W, three miles north of U.S.-24 on the Wabash-Huntington County Line Road.
