Salamonie Preschool to learn about trees

Preschool-age children and their adults are invited to a Salamonie Preschool class on Wednesday, Jan. 24, that will address how trees survive in the winter.

The class will be offered from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and again from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Salamonie Interpretive Center in Lost Bridge West SRA, Andrews.

In the class, children ages 2 through 5 and their adults will learn how trees survive in the cold, take a hike if the weather is favorable and observe nature.

These programs are designed to enhance a preschooler’s education through the learning of letters, making crafts, interacting socially and spending time outdoors.

There is a small fee per child. Advance registration is appreciated. Register by calling Upper Wabash Interpretive Services (UWIS) at 468-2127.
