Dorothy Reich

Dorothy Reich, 87, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at 10:40 a.m. at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.

Mrs. Reich graduated from high school in Detroit in 1948. She was a homemaker and attended The Well Church in Huntington. She sang in the church choir and the Philharmonic Chorale in Peoria, IL.

She was born Dec. 18, 1930, in Detroit, MI, to Henry Darwin and Vera Yazikov Didama. She married Wilbur E. Reich on March 10, 1950, in Detroit; he preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1998.

Survivors include two sons, Jim (Paula) Reich, of Bloomington, IL, and Jon (Cathy) Reich, of Huntington; a daughter, Cindy (Terry) Sappington, of Huntington; eight grandchildren, Jeff (Sara) Reich; of Idaho Springs, Co; Greg (Rebecca) Reich, of Asheville, NC; Michael (Jessica) Reich, of Clinton, IL; Matt (Suzanne) Reich, of Huntington; Emily (Michael) Cooley, of Fort Wayne; Stephen (Meranda) Reich, of Muncie; Brad Homme, of Bremerton, WA; and Sarah Homme, of Indianapolis; and nine great grandchildren.

Calling is Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the mortuary, with Rev. Josh Kesler officiating. A graveside service will be held Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at 2 p.m. in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Peoria, IL, with Rev. Eli Beltran officiating.
