Roanoke woman is new Banks’ Fort Wayne district office director

Congressman Jim Banks (IN-03) has announced that Tinisha Weigelt, of Roanoke, has been named district director in his Fort Wayne office.

“Tinisha has been a community leader for years, and her experience ensures that our office will continue to effectively serve Hoosiers in the Third District,” said Banks. “Tinisha has a passion for serving northeast Indiana, and we look forward to her leadership as district director.”

Weigelt previously served as office manager and financial administrator for Congressman Banks. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. in international relations and served in the office of former Congressman Randy Forbes (R-VA) for 13 years.

Weigelt lives in Roanoke with her husband, Matthew, and two sons, James-Lawrence and Isaac.

She is a member of the 2017-2018 class of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series.

She also is a member of the United Way of Huntington County Board of Directors, vice-chair of Roanoke Zoning Board of Appeals and is former president of the Roanoke Kiwanis Club.
