ADTPL has several events for youth in March

The Andrews-Dallas Township Public Library has several events for youth on tap in the coming weeks.

Youth can find the rainbow during the March rain at the Color Craze play day on Saturday, March 10, at 10:30 a.m. Color Craze activities will feature a colored rice play bin, blending color experiments, block play and more.

Monthly play days are geared toward families and their toddlers through third-graders and include snacks, crafts and play areas.

Children can create a four-season candle holder at this month’s Crafts and Coffee on Thursday, March 15, at 5:30 p.m. The vase will feature interchangeable decorations for spring, summer, fall and winter.

Crafts and Coffee meets every month and participants can enjoy coffee and tea while they create. A small donation is requested. Supplies and beverages are provided.

The Friends of the Andrews Library will be hosting a book and bake sale on Saturday, March 17, from 9 a.m. until noon. This spring’s book sale will be the biggest ever and include fiction and nonfiction books for all ages, report library officials.

All proceeds will be used by the Friends of the Library to support library programs and improvements. An after book sale bag sale will be held on Monday, March 19, and Tuesday, March 20, during library hours.

The Andrews-Dallas Township Public Library is located at 30 E. Madison St., in Andrews. The library is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Library staff reminds that children 9 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult or by a sibling who is at least 13 years old.
