Ruth N. Keplinger

Ruth N. Keplinger, 79, of Huntington, died Dec. 17, 2008, at 3:36 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Keplinger was employed as a housekeeper for Diane Humphrey, of Bluffton, for 33 years. She was a member of the First Brethren Church, where she was a member of the choir and the Women's Missionary Society. She graduated from the Indiana Soldiers Home.
She was born March 7, 1929, in Huntington, to Glen and Ella Pardue Deeds. She married Howard Keplinger on June 18, 1949, in Huntington. Her husband preceded her in death on June 10, 1991.
Survivors include a son, Michael Keplinger, of Huntington; two brothers, David Deeds, of Montrose, CO, and Robert Deeds, of Huntington; three sisters, Dorothy Keplinger and Marge Brannon, both of Huntington, and Miriam Bello, of LaPorte; and two granddaughters.
A funeral service will be held today, Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at 11 a.m., at Deal-Rice Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Rev. Dianna Teusch will officiate. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are gifts to the First Brethren Church, in care of Deal-Rice Funeral Home, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington, IN 46750.
