Quilts and kaleidoscopes are featured at Achievement Day

The Huntington County Extension Homemakers' Achievement Day is scheduled for Thursday, April 16 at Evangelical United Methodist Church.

Registration will begin at 2:30 p.m. Cultural Arts Contest entries will be accepted at 2 p.m.

The afternoon will officially begin at 3 p.m. with a short opening followed by a workshop at 3:30 p.m. presented by Sherry Rupert, talking about her kaleidoscope collection, and another at 4:15 p.m. by Jen Mason, talking about some of her quilts.

A program, which will include the installation of the county officers, will begin at 5:10 p.m. and conclude with a receiving line for the incoming and outgoing officers.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and will consist of tossed salad, roast pork, baked potato, green beans and Texas sheet cake.

The evening program is a surprise to those attending.
