Deborah K. 'Deb' Trowbridge

Deborah K. "Deb" Trowbridge, 56, of Syracuse, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 4:29 a.m. at her home.

Mrs. Trowbridge graduated in 1970 from Huntington North High School and earned a degree as a licensed practical nurse from the Fort Wayne Community Schools Adult Education Program. She had also attended St. Francis College, Fort Wayne. She was a homemaker and had been employed as a nurse by Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, for several years.

She moved to the Syracuse area in 1998 from Topeka, KS, and was active in the Dewart Lake Association. She was a former president of the Lendonway Terrace Association.

She was born Sept. 26, 1952, in Marion to Haskel D. and Bette Vernon Clements. She married Gary W. Trowbridge on Oct. 18, 1975, in Fort Wayne. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Nicole Trowbridge, of Ravensdale, WA, and Andrea (Devin) Waya, of North Platte, NE; a sister, Linda (Robert) Bonewitz, of Andrews; and a granddaughter, Meshka Waya.

Calling is Thursday, May 28, 2009, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 29, 2009, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Larry Rice, of the New Salem Church of the Brethren, officiating. Burial will be at the Syracuse Cemetery.
