Boyd L. Nevil

Boyd L. Nevil, 75, of Geneva, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Friday, June 19, 2009, at 9:05 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Nevil had been employed by Geneva Manufacturing in Geneva and by Dunbar Manufacturing and McIntosh Manufacturing, both in Berne. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Geneva and the American Legion in Decatur. He served with the United States Army in Italy.

He was born Dec. 10, 1933, in Ceylon, to John H. and Frances (Bailey) Nevil.

Survivors include a son, Edward E. Nevil, of Decatur; four sisters, Helen Myers, of Monroe; Demarius Ruble, of Pennville; Levina (Donald) Brandt, of Geneva; and Doris (Bernhard) Kahlert, of Monroe; two grandchildren, Michael Nevil, of Huntington, and Natasha Nevil, of Monroe; and six great-grandchildren.

A service was held Monday, June 22, 2009, at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, Geneva, with Rev. James Borntrager officiating. Interment followed at the West Lawn Cemetery, Geneva.
