Allen “Dussie” Dingess, 63, of Wabash, IN, and having family members in Andrews, IN, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at 1:30 a.m. at his home.
Mr. Dingess had worked at the former United Technologies in North Manchester for 15 years.
He was born April 1, 1946, in Duhue, WV, to Ray and Cora Lee Dalton Dingess. His mother survives in North Manchester.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Sherry (Kenneth) Baker, of Warsaw, and Billie J. Simmons, of Peru; three brothers, Wallace Dingess, Jackie Dingess and Oscar Dingess, all of Servia; seven sisters, Christean Calloway, of North Manchester; Madeline Shanklin, of Wabash; Deloris Horne, of Kentucky; Virgie Shepherd and Caroline France, both of Servia; Mildred Eckman, of LaFontaine; and Pamela Craft, of Andrews; and five grandchildren, Derek and Allison Baker, of Warsaw, and Dexter, Landon and Natalie Simmons, of Peru.
He is also survived by a companion, Christine Siers, of Wabash, and his former wife, Mary Ann Dingess, of Chili.
A service was held Saturday, July 4, 2009, at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Rev. J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery, Servia.
