Tevell Brown Sr., 69, of Roanoke, IN, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at 6:40 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Brown worked as a labor foreman and truck driver with Fox Contractors in Fort Wayne for more than 26 years, retiring in 2008. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He was born Oct. 18, 1942, in Tupelo, MS, to Arthur and Fredonia Pollard Brown. He married Patricia Ann Black, and she preceded him in death in 1993.
Survivors include two sons, Tevell (Sarah) Brown Jr., of Fort Wayne, and Craig A. (Therese) Brown, of New Jersey; six sisters; a brother; and four grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Steve Cresse of Life Community Church officiating. Burial will be at Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
