Marie 'Adeline' Spaulding

Marie "Adeline" Spaulding, 85, of Warren, IN, died Jan. 4, 2009, at 12:50 a.m. at Heritage Pointe, Warren.

Mrs. Spaulding had lived in Van Buren before moving to Heritage Pointe four years ago. She attended the Central Christian Church in Van Buren and was a member of the Christian Women's Group of the church. She was also a member of the Van Buren Tea-Timers and had worked for Pierce Governor in Upland. She graduated from Atlanta (IN) High School and attended Indiana State Teachers College.

She was born June 16, 1923, in Atlanta, IN, to William and Clara Sloan Bozell. She married Marcus Wayne Spaulding on Oct. 23, 1947, in Marion. Her husband preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Lester Spaulding, of Van Buren, and Melvin (Kathy) Spaulding, of North Manchester; a brother, Rene Bozell, of Elwood; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home, Van Buren, with Rev. John Pattison officiating. Interment was at the Van Buren Cemetery.
