John "Curtis" Allen, 74, of Warren, IN, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at 7:45 p.m. at his home.

Mr. Allen graduated from Jefferson Township High School, Huntington County, in 1956. He was employed by General Motors, Marion, for 30 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the Marion First Church of the Nazarene, Marion, and attended Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene, Warren.

He was born May 24, 1937, in Huntington County to Cleatus and Roma (Havens) Allen. He married Garnet M. Hardin on Sept. 1, 1956, in Warren. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Wendell Allen, of Fairmount; three daughters, Teresa (George) Kriegbaum and Debbie Allen, both of Warren, and Stacy (Dave) Miller, of New Albany; a brother, Larry (Mavis) Allen, of Greenfield; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Charlie) Shideler, of Warren; Ashley (Doug) Knowles and Julie (Tyler) Davis, both of Fort Wayne; Morgan Miller and Drake Miller, both of New Albany; and Mark Christlieb and Lee Christlieb, both of Navarre, FL; and seven great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a service following at 2 p.m., at the Glancy-H. Brown and Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Gerald Moreland will officiate. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.
