Robert E. "Back Alley Bob" Huffman, 60, of Markle, IN, died Friday afternoon, Feb. 3, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Huffman had worked in buildings and grounds at Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne for 28 years. He was a 1969 graduate of Huntington North High School and was a past member of ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Towards Education).

He was born Feb. 14, 1951, in Huntington to James O. and Ethel Naomi Uhl Huffman. He married Jean Fillman on Sept. 17, 1988. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include three sons, Clint E. Combs, Eric Henson and Curt J. Combs, all of Fort Wayne; a brother, James Huffman, of Oregon; four sisters, Mary Fisher and Helen McDowell, both of Fort Wayne, and Nora Berry and Catherine Caley, both of Huntington; ; 10 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Calling is Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. A service will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Gerald O. Moreland officiating.
