Lillian F. Karst, 87, of Fort Wayne, IN, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at Emeritus Assisted Living Center, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Karst was a former secretary and a homemaker. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Huntington, the Secular Franciscans and the Knights of Columbus auxiliary.

She was born Nov. 21, 1924, in Shelby County, KY, to David and Iva Ethington Brown. She married Delbert P. Karst on July 11, 1970. Her husband survives.

Calling is Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m., at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington, with Rev. Augustine Kochuparathanathu presiding. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
