Stephan B. Caffee

Stephan B. Caffee, 56, of Roanoke, IN, and formerly of Shelbyville, died Jan. 11, 2009, at 8:45 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Caffee had worked as an enameler for General Electric for more than 25 years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of Bible Mission Church in Shelbyville and attended Union Church in Huntington.

He was born July 6, 1952, in Shelbyville, to Gordon and Flora Mae Hitch Caffee. He married Brenda C. Whitaker on Nov. 21, 1970, in Shelbyville. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Travis (Melanie) Caffee, of Anderson, and Adam Kyle (Amber) Caffee, of Huntington; a daughter, Brandi (Gary) Harris, of Huntington; two brothers, Dale Caffee, of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Joe (Lynelle) Caffee, of Covington, KY; a sister, Sudie (William) Cox, of Manilla, IN; and nine grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Homes, Roanoke, with Rev. Mark Hoffer officiating. Pallbearers were Kyle Caffee, Tyler Harris, Gary Harris, Travis Caffee, Brandi Harris, Amber Caffee, Joe Caffee and Paul Bulmer. Burial was at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.

Preferred memorials are gifts to the Stephan B. Caffee Memorial Fund in care of Roanoke Memorial Chapel, 240 Crestwood Dr., Roanoke, IN 46783.
