James F. Weller

James F. Weller, 72, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at 12:37 a.m. at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Weller was a veteran of the United States Marines and Air Force, where he served as a firefighter. He worked as a cement truck driver for Redimix, built cement trucks for Riteway and retired from Innovative Packaging Service in 2002. He was a member of American Legion Post 85 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689.

He was born Sept. 8, 1939, in Andrews to Walter G. and Mary Elizabeth Kocher Weller.

Survivors include a daughter, Janelle (Chris) Fancil, of Syracuse; a son, Joseph (Amy) Weller, of LaFontaine; two sisters, Barb Hale, of Huntington, and Linda (Basil) Shaffer, of Columbia City; and four granddaughters, Sydney Reed, Tess Fancil, Haylee Weller and Madalyn Weller.

Calling is Monday, June 18, 2012, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a service following at noon, at Deal-Rice Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. Burial will be at the Marion National Cemetery, with American Legion Post 85 providing graveside military honors.
