Agatha K. Hippensteel, 95, of North Manchester, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Monday, June 25, 2012, at 6:20 p.m. at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

Mrs. Hippensteel graduated from Chester High School in 1934. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Christian Church, Huntington.

She was born Sept. 8, 1916, in Wabash County to Otto P. and Mabel E. Wall Young. She married John E. Hippensteel on Jan. 1, 1938. Her husband preceded her in death on April 7, 2005.

Survivors include two sons, Billy E. (Beverly) Hippensteel, of Huntington, and Robert H. (Oris) Hippensteel, of North Manchester; a daughter, Carolyn E. (Jerry) Hoover, of Marion; a brother, Garl "Pete" Young, of North Manchester; nine grandchildren; and 13 grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, June 28, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind.-114, North Manchester. A service will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012, at 11a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at the Peabody Chapel, 400 W. Seventh St., North Manchester. Rev. Chris Hayden and Rev. Sue Babovec will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Servia.
