Donald L. Kreischer, 74, of Cromwell, IN, and having relatives in Warren, IN, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at 4:40 p.m. at his residence.
Mr. Kreischer graduated form Harford City High School in 1957. He served in the Indiana National Guard, Hartford City Post, from 1960 to 1966. He retired from Corning Glass and then worked as custodian for the Southern Wells schools and Kautex-Textron in Avilla. He was a member of the Lions Club. He and his wife moved to Harper Lake in 1996.
He was born June 24, 1938, in Indianapolis to George W. and Ruby Mesamore Kreischer. He married Mary L. Williams on Oct. 25, 1967, in Bluffton, and she survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Pamela (Dennis) Smith and Lora Jo (Jeff) Johnson, both of Hartford City; Tina Kreischer, of Cromwell; and Julie (Bill) Allen, of Warren; a brother, Leroy Kreischer, of Puyallap, WA; two sisters, Peggy (Don) Brown, of New Vienna, OH, and Betty Kreischer, of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Calling is Sunday, July 1, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Monday, July 2, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 2, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Allen Laws officiating. Interment will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery in Lancaster.
Preferred memorials are to the Cromwell-Kimmell Lions Club.
