Thomas Raines, 65, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in Roanoke, IN, died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at 1:47 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Raines had worked at Hook Industrial Sales as a machine builder for more than 20 years, retiring in 2009.

He was born April 5, 1947, in Fort Wayne to Donald E. and Elizabeth Hopkins Raines. He married Nancy K. Owen, who survives.

Additional survivors include five children, Robert (Carol) Raines, of Roanoke; Kristin Butler, of Churubusco; Toby Boitet, of Fort Wayne; Joy Wilson, of North Port, FL; and Amanda (Michael) Boitet-Ball, of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Diane Raines, of Fort Wayne, and Linda (Michael) Ramer, of Albion; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A service was held on Monday, July 2, 2012, at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, with Chaplain Cheryl Schmidt officiating. Burial was at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
