Bonnie Gay Tackett, 53, of Melvin, KY, and having family members in Andrews, IN, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Ms. Tackett was a caregiver. She attended the Joppa Old Regular Baptist Church.
She was born Nov. 21, 1958, in Floyd County, KY, to Charles E. and Winnie Tackett. Her mother survives in Melvin, KY.

Additional survivors include four brothers, Conley (Barb) Tackett, of Andrews; Ronnie Tackett and Charles Larry Tackett, both of Melvin, KY; and Richard (Rhonda) Tackett, of Ivel, KY; and four sisters, Deborah Sue (Herbert) Amburgey and Evelyn (Lee) Roberts, both of Staffordsville, KY; Patricia (Greg) Hall, of Andrews; and Beth (David) Castle, of Lowmansville, KY.

Calling is Tuesday, July 3, 2012, after 4 p.m. and all day on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at the Joppa Old Regular Baptist Church, Melvin, KY. A service will be held at the church on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the Matthew Tackett Cemetery, Melvin, KY.
