Mary Elizabeth Sannan, 87, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Sannan had worked as a waitress at Al's Restaurant, in Waynedale, and at Bill Caradone's Italian Restaurant, in Fort Wayne. She had also worked at Magnavox, in Fort Wayne. She attended the Waynedale United Methodist Church.

She was born Sept. 7, 1924, in Liberty Center to Harry Bennett and Carrie Elizabeth Hubbard Murray. She married Charles R. Sannan, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include four sons, Tommy (Jane) Opliger, of Asheville, NC; Mitchell Newell, of Huntington; Michael (Jill) Newell, of Warsaw; and Mark Newell, of Auburn; two daughters, Audrey (Steve) Bair, of Columbia City, and Angie Groh, of Fort Wayne; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A service was held on Monday, July 2, 2012, at the Waynedale United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne, with Rev. Michael Harris officiating.

Northern Indiana Funeral Care was in charge of arrangements.
