Edythe Arnetta VonHolten, 90, of Battle Creek, MI, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility in Battle Creek, MI.

Mrs. VonHolten was a homemaker.

She was born Dec. 5, 1921, in Huntington to Palmer and Emma Bair Hillegas. She married John VonHolten on Sept. 3, 1938. He preceded her in death on Feb. 29, 1988.

Survivors include a daughter, Arnetta VonHolten, of Irmo, SC; a sister, Betty Scott, of Markle; a half-sister, Martha; a half-brother, Charles Hillegas, of Huntington; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, July 5, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI; A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 6, 2012, at noon, with Rev. Walter J. Nichols Jr. officiating. Burial will be at
Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI.
