James "Jim" R. Webb, 77, of Bluffton, IN, and having relatives in Markle, IN, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at 8:15 p.m. at Markle Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Webb attended Amity High School and had been a resident of Wells County since 1950. He retired as a manager/supervisor over the welding department at Wayne Metal Products, where he worked for 45 years. After retiring he worked at Craftline Printing in Fort Wayne for five years. He was a member of the Sonlight Wesleyan Church, in Bluffton.
He was born on Jan. 16, 1935, in Amity, AR, to Oliver R. and Vienna C. Westerman Webb. On May 22, 1954, in Hot Springs, AR, he married Alice F. Stewart. She survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Debra F. Webb and Belinda K. Webb Foreman, both of Bluffton; a sister, Helen (Jesse) Horn, of Bluffton; three granddaughters, Kerry M. Girvin and Kelsey L. Foreman, both of Bluffton, and Brittany N. Foreman, of Markle; and three great-grandchildren.
Calling will be Saturday, July 7, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with calling one hour prior. Rev. Lyle Breeding and Rev. Tom Bradley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Garden of Chimes of Elm Grove Cemetery in Bluffton.
Preferred memorials are to Friends of the Shelter or The Acres through the funeral home.
