Madge A. Miller, 86, of Huntington, IN, died Friday morning, July 6, 2012, at her daughter's home in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Miller was a homemaker. She was a 1943 graduate of Huntington High School. She was a member of the St. Peter's First United Church in Huntington and had served as the church librarian for many years. She was a 4-H leader for 26 years.
She was born Oct. 15, 1925, in Huntington to William J. and Meta Vitz Pleanitz. She married Frank A. Miller on June 16, 1948, in Huntington. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2003.
Survivors include two sons, John A. Miller, of Fishkill, NY, and Thomas A. (Barbara) Miller, of Plattsmouth, NE; three daughters, Sue Mendenhall, Peggy Scher and Sally (Kevin) Kimmel, all of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Calling is Monday, July 9, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home-Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Richard Strick officiating. Interment will be at the St. Peter's First Church Cemetery in Huntington.
