Douglas E. Harmon, 44, of Ossian, IN, and having family members in Markle, IN, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at 10:20 p.m. at his home.

Mr. Harmon was a 1986 graduate of Wayne High School. He worked for Harmon Concrete for many years and most recently was service manager for B&W Heavy Equipment, in Fort Wayne.

He was born Nov. 7, 1967, in Fort Wayne. He is survived by his parents, Linda S. Bowersock Harmon, of Ossian, and Carl Harmon, of Maryville, TN. He married Mary C. Kerns on Oct. 9, 2000, in Gatlinburg, TN. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Christopher Harmon, of Ossian; two daughters, Amy Harmon, of Bluffton, and Holly Rae Harmon, of Ossian; a sister, Carolyn (Ty) Tigner, of Markle; a half-brother, Nick Harmon, of Knoxville, TN; and a grandson, Gavin Harmon.

Calling is Thursday, July 12, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. No service is planned. Interment will take place at a later date at Hoverstock Cemetery, Zanesville.
