Christine Vance, 66, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 7:10 a.m. at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Vance graduated in 1963 from Wheelwright High School. She worked at Magnetek for 26 years in Huntington and retired in 2005 from Our Sunday Visitor after 10 years of service.

She was born July 12, 1945, in Melvin, KY, to Ernest and Dorothy Little Hensley. She married Jarvie Vance Jr. on Nov. 28, 1963, in Clintwood, VA, and he survives.

Additional survivors include six sisters, Gloria (Harold) Moore, Brenda (Collie) Branham and Tammy Mosley, all of Melvin, KY; Regina (Ricky) Tackett and Linda (Steve) Kohler, both of Huntington; and Wanda (William) Holbrook, of Pikeville KY; and four brothers, Cecil (Alpha) Hensley, of Warren, and Jimmy (Sue) Hensley, Larry (Myrtle) Hensley and Ronnie (Tenna) Hensley, all of Huntington.

Calling is Friday, July 13, 2012, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012, 10 a.m. at the mortuary, with Rev. Steve Kohler officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
