Elma R. Jackson, 86, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Friday, July 13, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Jackson worked as a Realtor with Quinn Real Estate for 18 years, retiring in 1983, and had previously worked at Lincoln Life and at Montgomery Ward. She was a member of Brookside Community Church and sang with the Senior Saints.

She was born in Defiance, OH, to Vernon and Della Mahan. She married Charles Jackson, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Thomas E.(Joan) Jackson, of New Haven; Timothy C. (Becky) Jackson, of Houston, TX; and Teddis L. (Connie) Jackson, of Huntington; a daughter, Theresa A. (Terry) Heckman, of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Velma L. Moor and Donna B. Merefield, both of Montpelier, OH; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, July 16, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd., Fort Wayne. A service will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Brookside Community Church, 6102 Evard Rd., Fort Wayne. Rev. Kent Keener will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
