Jim Stone, 71, of Marion, IN, and having family members in Bippus, IN, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at 2:05 a.m. at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie.

Mr. Stone, a graduate of Marion High School, was the owner and operator of Harley Davidson of Marion from 1985 to 2010. He had previously worked 20 years as head mechanic at Waldo Brandt, Wabash.

He was born Dec. 23, 1940, in Marion to Robert and Mary Harrison Maynard.
Survivors include two sons, Jimbo Stone and Bob (Amanda) Stone, both of Marion; two brothers, Stephen (Janice) Maynard, of Sweetser, and Brian Maynard, of Decatur; a stepsister, Sondra Stone Jackson, of Bippus; five sisters, Earlene (Don) Wehunt, of Leesburg, FL; Susan Stone, of Danville; and Sally Stone Dicks, Ruth (Stephen) Banker and Debbie (Jeff) Wagner, all of Marion; and three grandchildren, Joshua Stone, Rachel Stone and Caitlyn Stone.

Calling is Friday, July 20, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 10 a.m., with Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will be at Estates of Serenity, Marion.
