Robert A. D'Andrea

Robert Anthony D'Andrea, 61, of Warren, IN, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at 3:28 a.m. at his home.

Mr. D'Andrea was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He retired after working as a self-employed carpenter for 25 years. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Van Buren and a CB radio club, Hobo Club 505.

He was born Sept. 1, 1947, in Chicago Heights, IL, to Robert Lee and Doris Kimmel D'Andrea. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Doris and Alec Andringa, of Fort Wayne. He married Catina Bendele on July 28, 1990, in Fort Wayne. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include two brothers, Louis Andringa, of Fort Wayne, and Joe Andringa, of Texas; and three sisters, Anna Puff, of Fort Wayne, and Tammy Andringa and Tara Smith, both of Texas.

Calling is Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A memorial service will be held at the mortuary on Saturday, Aug.15, 2009, at 7:45 p.m., with military rites at 8 p.m. Rev. Doug Sharrard will officiate.
