Daniel Kiefer

Daniel Kiefer, 49, of Andrews, IN, died at 5:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at 5 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Kiefer retired after working as automotive service manager for several area dealerships. He played drums in several area bands.

He was born April 7, 1960, in Huntington to Thomas K. Kiefer and Tommie "Sue" Haddock. His father survives in Huntington.

Additional survivors include a son, Jacob Kiefer, of Huntington; a daughter, Ali (Curtis) Garber, of Huntington; two brothers, Ernie (Nina) Kiefer and Jerry (Linda) Kiefer, both of Huntington; a sister, Sue (Paul) Miller, of Huntington; and three grandchildren, Ian Garber, Cohan Garber and Isaac Garber, all of Huntington.

A service was held Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. Rev. Raymond Scribner officiated.

Honorary pallbearers were Shane McVoy, Bill Weisenhunt, Paul Miller, Jake Kiefer, Lloyd Simmins, Robert Clark, Bill Clark, Louie Mayo, Dickie Reed, Dave Gamble, Bill Nolan, Josh Childers, Levi James, Brando Decker, Colton Kiefer, Kyler Decker and Scott Walker.

Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington, at a later date.
