H. Carol Thompson, 71, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, July 22, 2012, at the Tipton House in Huntington.

Mrs. Thompson was a former director of the Central Brevard Sharing Center in Cocoa, FL, and a past director of the Huntington County United Way. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, in Huntington.

She was born Nov. 1, 1940, in Bridgeton, NJ, to Howard and Bernice Conover Frambes. She married Richard W. Thompson on June 18, 1960. Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 2010.

Survivors include a son, Paul R. Thompson, of Huntington; a daughter, Michelle R. "Chelley" (Scott) Smith, of Hightown, VA; two brothers, Ronald (Irene) Frambes, of Coldwater, MI, and Robert C. (Mary) Frambes, of Fishers; four grandchildren, Andrew Thompson, Jacob Thompson, Angela Thompson and Ethan Smith.

The family will hold a private service at a later date. Burial will be at Lester Cemetery, Coldwater, MI.
