Mona M. Case, 78, of Albion, IN, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 1:25 p.m. at her home.
Mrs. Case earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and government from Cornell University. She had worked for the Immigration Service in New York, NY; as a teacher in Ithaca, NY, and in the Marion Community Schools; and for Huntington County Family Services and the Huntington County Plan Commission. She was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church.
She was born May 24, 1934, in Ithaca, NY, to Lawrence S. and Kathleen Molowa Powers. She married Neil A. Case on April 20, 1963, in Ithaca, NY. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Laura Case, of Albion, and Sara (Tim) Landrum, of Huntington; two sons, Carl (Rachel) Case, of Wawaka, and Mark Case, of Utica, NY; and a sister, Kathleen (Querino) Orzino, Ithica, NY.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 207 N. Main St., Columbia City, with Rev. Gary Sigler officiating. Calling will be held one hour prior to the service.
