Larry L. Thompson 71, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012.

Mr. Thompson retired from Minnich Manufacturing, where he had worked as a machinist for 23 years.

He was born in Wyandotte, MI, and is survived by his mother, Willadene Thompson, of Fort Wayne. He is also survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy Thompson.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Lisa Thompson, of Fort Wayne; Brenda Wall, of Corunna; and Diana Burnworth, of Huntington; a brother, Robert Thompson, of Las Vegas, NV; three sisters, Carol Parrish, of Summer Shade, KY; Valerie Hague, of Albion; and Brenda Stout, of Clemmons, NC; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A service will be held on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Churubusco.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
