Peggy J. Pierson, 73, of rural Hartford City, IN, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at Heritage Pointe, in Warren.

Mrs. Pierson graduated from Roll High School in 1957.

She attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Hartford City, and was a member of the Red Hatters Society at Heritage Pointe.

She was born April 21, 1939, in rural Hartford City to Lloyd and Irene Hurst Roush. She married Donald Jay Pierson on July 6, 1957, at the E.U.B. Church, in Hartford City. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Londa Montgomery, of Greenwood, and Karen (Ron) Burch, of Avon; a daughter-in-law, Carol Pierson, of Hartford City; a sister, Connie Kreischer, of Hartford City; four grandchildren, Craig (Jessica) Pierson, Curt Pierson and Clint Pierson, all of Hartford City, and Drexel Montgomery, of Greenwood; and a stepgrandson, Andrew Burch, of Danville.

Calling is Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at 10 a.m., with Al Soulz officiating. Interment will be at the Jones Cemetery, Warren.
