Carol Ann Kelsey, 81, of Roanoke, IN, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at 7:15 a.m. at her home.

Mrs. Kelsey, a 1949 graduate of Southside High School, had worked as a teller at Roanoke State Bank and retired as court reporter for the Huntington Superior Court after 18 years of service. She later operated her own court reporting business, Kelsey Reporting Service.

She was a member of Seminary United Methodist Church and attended Emmanuel Community Church. She served as a Sunday school teacher for 20 years, sang in the church choir and was active in Bible study groups. She was a member of American Legion Post 160 Auxiliary, in Roanoke.

She was born June 8, 1931, in Fort Wayne to Ralph and Hilda Habig Sellers. She married Duane Kelsey on June 16, 1951, in Fort Wayne. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Laura Kelsey, of Muncie, and Val Holley, of Fort Wayne; two sons, Craig Kelsey, of Leo, and Todd (Cathy) Kelsey, of Yoder; a brother, Richard Sellers, of Hilton Head, SC; three grandchildren, Dirk (Ashley) Holley, Ryan (Meggan) Holley and Brandon (Nicole) Holley; and six great-grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Roanoke Memorial Chapel of Deal-Rice Funeral Home, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke. A service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Emmanuel Community Church, 12222 W. U.S.-24. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.

Preferred memorials are gifts to the Cancer Resource Center of Lutheran Hospital, Seminary United Methodist Church or Emmanuel Community Church, all in care of Roanoke Memorial Chapel, 240 Crestwood Drive, Roanoke, IN 46783.
