Larry Alan Falcone, 64, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at 12:12 a.m. at Norwood Health and Rehabilitation Center, Huntington.
Mr. Falcone, a 1966 graduate of Huntington High School, entered the United States Marine Corps in 1967 and served as a corporal in the Vietnam War. He worked as a lead technician at United Technologies, in Huntington, from 1991 to 2008. He had previously been employed as a foreman at Locke Steel Chain, Huntington, and at the Kmart warehouse in Fort Wayne. He was a member of American Legion Post 85, Huntington.
He was born Nov. 19, 1947, in Huntington to Russell and Patricia Haneline Falcone.
Survivors include a son, Brian A. Falcone; two daughters, Susan Q. (Tony) Gomez, of Columbia City, and Dawn R. (Scott) Daniels, of Huntington; two brothers, James (Pam) Falcone, of Huntington, and Sheridan (Sondra) Falcone, of Fort Wayne; a sister, Paula (Albert) Blair, of Huntington; eight grandchildren, Tasha Biehl, Shasta Ball, Trevor Biehl, Justin Daniels, Kayleigh Daniels, Kaytlin Falcone, Brooke Falcone and Chase Falcone; a stepgrandchild, Tiffany Snyder; and two great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Elzie Spencer will officiate. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington, with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689 conducting military rites.
