Nancy A. Kemp, 83, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Aug.11, 2012, at The Heritage of Huntington.

Mrs. Kemp graduated from Huntington High School, attended Huntington College and received a bachelor's degree from Indiana University. She was a homemaker and worked as an accountant at Lincoln Life.

She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon at the church. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority and the high school booster club, served as a Brownie leader and played in a bridge cub.

She was born Aug. 19, 1928, in Huntington to Cecil and Lucille Reynolds Everett. She married Kenneth H. Kemp on Oct. 28, 1961. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1997.

Survivors include a son, Steven E. Kemp, of North Webster; a daughter, Lisa C. (Boyd) Doll, of Huntington; four grandchildren, Kristen M. Williams, Keiffer L. Williams, Samantha N. Doll and Jack K. Doll; and a great-grandchild.

Calling is Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. A service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at the First Presbyterian Church, 50 E. Tipton St., Huntington. Rev. John Ritchie will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
