Lela M. Rosser, 78, of Fort Wayne, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Kindred Care, in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Rosser worked for Mutual Security Life for 22 years before working for Lincoln National Life for five years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and was a volunteer with the Allen County Library Genealogy Department.
She was born in Huntington to Gilbert and Miriam Bartaway. She married Howard Sibert, and he preceded her in death. She later married David Rosser, and he also preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, William Sibert, of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Jolinda (Kevin) Turner, of Fort Wayne; and Bettina (Paul) Christensen, of LaGrand, OR; a brother, Charles (Karen) Bartaway of Deltona, FL; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne. A funeral service is Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5401 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
