Jim E. Bolinger, 77, of Warren, IN, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at 3:35 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.
Mr. Bolinger graduated from Warren High School in 1954. He was the owner-operator of Warren Service & Supply and Bolinger's Propane Service for 50 years. He had served in the United States Air National Guard.
He was a Boy Scout leader and was also a member of the Warren Volunteer Fire Department for 36 years. He was a member of the Solid Rock United Methodist Church in Warren.
He was born June 17, 1935, in Warren to Herb and Elizabeth Thompson Bolinger. He married Donna Kimmel on Saturday, Nov. 16, 1957, in Asbury Chapel, Wells County, and she survives.
Additional survivors include three daughters, Beth (Monte) Lightner, of Roanoke; Julie Degener, of Sarasota, FL; and Gina (Scott) Canady, of Warren; and six grandchildren,
Ashley Lightner, Zach Lightner, Carly Lightner, Tyler Degener, Andrew Degener, Grant Canady and Madi Canady.
Calling is Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, for one hour prior to the 2 p.m. service. at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Rev. Kathy Newton will officiate. Interment will follow in the Thompson Home Cemetery, rural Warren.
Preferred memorials are to the Warren Volunteer Fire Department or the Solid Rock U.M. Church Building Fund.
