Thelma M. Strait, 90, of Warren, IN, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at 1:39 p.m. at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN.

Mrs. Strait graduated from the Rock Creek High School in 1940. She was a homemaker. She had been a member of the Plum Tree United Methodist Church and was involved with its women's fellowship. She had also been a member of the O.D.O. club for several years.

She was born July 12, 1922, in Huntington County to Lewis S. and Minerva J. Kirkpatrick Prible. She married Lewis Strait on May 23, 1941, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Dane (Patricia) Strait and John (Christie) Strait, both of Warren; a daughter, Virginia (Roy) Cripe, of Downers Grove, IL; six grandchildren, Daniel J. (Cindy) Strait, of Anderson; Nick E. Strait, of Noblesville; Tiffany (David) Weinzapfel, of Columbus; Jenna K. Davis; Seth K. Davis; and Erick (Mary) Davis, of Navarre, FL; and seven great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral at Heritage Pointe Applegate Chapel, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. Dr. Jeane Spoor will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mossburg Cemetery, rural Liberty Center.
