Cynthia L. DeArmond, 61, of Fort Wayne, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at the Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. DeArmond worked in the sales department of L.S. Ayres for 20 years, retiring in 2002.

She was born in Huntington to Clyde and Grace Anderson.

Survivors include a son, Mike DeArmond, of Portland, OR; a daughter, Jessica DeArmond, of Cromwell; a brother, Arden Anderson, of Troy, MI; and a granddaughter, Grace DeArmond.

Calling is Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd., Fort Wayne. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service.
