Mary Emma Huffman, 90, of Warren, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at 5:05 a.m. at Heritage Pointe, in Warren.
Mrs. Huffman was a 1939 graduate of Warren High School and was a lifelong Warren resident. She was a member of Tri Kappa, the Chautauqua Club and the Warren United Methodist Church. She had owned M's Shoe Spoon and worked at her father's business, Tam's Rexall Drug Store, both in Warren.
She was born Aug. 29, 1921, in Warren to Merritt and Helen Bonifield Tam.
Survivors include two daughters, Christine (John) Wearly, of Daleville, and Nanette Huffman, of Wildwood, IL; three sons, Phillip (Donna) Huffman, of Lafayette; James (Gloria) Huffman, of Virginia Beach, VA; and Paul Huffman, of Clermont, FL; seven grandchildren, Mindy McKee, Molly O'Halloran, Emily Schwartz, Angela Kraster, Rebecca Boyd, Jonathan Wearly and Nathan Huffman; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heritage Pointe's Applegate Chapel, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. A service will be held at the chapel on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Edwin Clark and Rev. Howard Cress will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Warren.
