Danny D. Shinholt, 55, of Van Buren, IN, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012.

Mr. Shinholt, a lifelong resident of the Van Buren area, graduated from Eastbrook High School in 1975. He was a member of Central Christian Church, Van Buren.

He was born May 8, 1957, to Max and Anna Lou Rumple Shinholt. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Anna Lou and Dale Saylor, of Marion, and his father and stepmother, Max and Shirley Shinholt, of Van Buren.

Additional survivors include a son, Gabe Shinholt, of Upland; three sisters, Louann (Ben) Townsend, of Van Buren; Marcia Stroup, of Spencer, and Julie Slagle, of Louisville, KY; a half-sister, Kelly (Miles) Procter, of Van Buren; a stepsister, Dennise (Bruce) Bainbridge, of Arizona; four half-brothers, Greg (Tina) Shinholt and Scott (Holly) Shinholt, both of Van Buren, and Gary (Ronda) Elzey and David (Becky) Elzey, both of Bluffton; and two stepbrothers, Roger (Kelly) Saylor and Jim Saylor, both of Marion.

Calling is Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., with a memorial service following at 2 p.m., at the Central Christian Church, in Van Buren. Rev. Heath Jones will officiate.

Preferred memorials are gifts to the Central Christian Church of Van Buren.
