Jeanette Adele Horrell, 86, of Howe, IN, and having ties to Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at 11:40 p.m. at Life Care Center of LaGrange.

Mrs. Horrell graduated from Larwill High School in 1942. She had worked at Caswell-Runyan, the Wishbone Restaurant and Omega Lounge, all in Huntington, and at Blaising's Tavern in Rome City.

She was born on July 7, 1926 in Columbia City to Lawrence E. and Pearl Beatrice Ble) Rubrake. She married Esta Edwin "Pete" Horrell on Jan. 8, 1949 in Columbia City. He preceded her in death on July 29, 1969.

Survivors include a daughter, Janet Kay Koughn, of Howe; a son, Dennis Allen Horrell, of Hubert Heights, OH; four brothers, Kenneth D. Rubrake, George A. Rubrake, and Ronald Rubrake, all of Columbia City, and Roy E. Rubrake of South Whitley; four sisters, Treva Ott, of Alabama; Caroline Grable and Cynthia Rubrake, both of Columbia City, IN; and Pauline Wolfe of Great Fall, MT; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A serv ice was held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, Columbia City, with Sharon Brockhaus officiating. Burial was at South Whitley Cemetery.
