James R. 'Tarz' Kissinger

James Robert "Tarz" Kissinger, 74, of Columbia City, IN, and having family members in Markle, IN, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at 2:40 p.m. at his home.
Mr. Kissinger, a graduate of Columbia City High School, had owned and operated Kissinger Electric, in Columbia City, since 1978. He had previously worked for G&K Well Drilling and worked out of Electrical Union 305. He was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, in Columbia City.
He was born May 25, 1938, to Claude Earl and Lois Eleanor Hurd Kissinger. He married Julie Jean Quinn on May 10, 1958, at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Columbia City. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include three sons, Joseph Robert (Amy) Kissinger, of Markle; Jeffery James (David) Kissinger, of Knoxville, TN; and Jonathan Scott (Deanna) Kissinger, of Columbia City; two daughters, Jennifer Lou Garcia, of Fort Wayne, and Julie Ann (Brent) Robinson, of North Webster; three sisters, Peggy L. (John) DeFeo, of Hollister, MO; Maralee Martin, of Fort Wayne; and Michele (Greg) Brockhaus, of Columbia City; and eight grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at 10 a.m., with Rick Stieglitz officiating
