Sandy Schaufelberger, 48, of Bluffton, IN, and having ties to Markle, IN, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at 7:48 a.m. at her home.
Mrs. Schaufelberger graduated in 1982 from Huntington North High School and in 1986 from Ball State University. She received her master's degree in 2009 from Indiana University. She was employed by the Do-It-Best Corporation, in Fort Wayne, and was co-owner of Markle Do-It-Best Hardware. She worked at Indiana Web Academy, Indianapolis, for three years. She was a member of the Markle Church of Christ.
She was born Jan. 23, 1964, in Muncie to Ronald E. and Patricia S. Will Lund. Her mother survives in Markle.
She married Mark E. Schaufelberger on Aug. 5, 1995, at the Markle Church of Christ. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include three daughters, Whitney (Nick) McBride, of Warren, and Shelby S. Schaufelberger and Savannah P. Schaufelberger, both at home; a brother, Scott (Cindy) Lund, of Markle; a sister, Sharon Lund, of Huntington; and a grandson, Daniel D. McBride.
Calling is Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Markle Church of Christ, 455 E. Morse St., Markle. A service will be held at the church on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Mike Duggan will officiate. Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.
