Arlene K. Hoover, 71, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at 5:48 p.m. at her sister's home in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Hoover graduated from Lancaster High School in 1958. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Indiana Racing Horses Association.
She was born Feb. 6, 1941, in Huntington to Orval and Fern Scott Kellam. She married Herbert Hoover on July 28, 1980, in Muncie. Her husband preceded her in death on June 17, 2011.
Survivors include two sons, William Joseph (Cindy) Heck, of Apopka, FL, and Jeffrey Richard Heck, of Muncie; two daughters, Jacqueline Ann (Steven) Heck Hall, of Huntington, and Janette Marie (James) Heck Ralston, of Warren; a brother, Paul (Sue) Kellam, of Huntington; two sisters, Roene (Rex) Hoover, of New Mexico, and Charlene (Wayne) Greer, of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a service following at noon, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. Rev. Ray Scribner will officiate. Burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.
