Betty Heffelfinger, 71, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012.

She was born Dec. 24, 1940, William Frazier and Edith Roberts White. Her mother survives. She married Max E. Heffelfinger, and he survives.

Additional survivors include three stepchildren, four stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

No service is planned. Her ashes will be interred at the National Cemetery in Marion at a later date.

Preferred memorials are gifts to St. Peter Lutheran Church, the Huntington County Humane Shelter or the charity of the donor's choice, all in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.
